The Doveton Oakley International School traces its legacy back to 1834 with the establishment of the Madras Parental Academy in Georgetown. The institution later took the name of Bishop Daniel Corrie, the first Anglican Bishop of Madras, marking a significant milestone in its history.
The Doveton Protestant College was opened on March 1, 1855, followed by the Doveton Girls' School in 1856, which later moved into its present campus in 1888. These institutions played a vital role in shaping a strong educational foundation in Chennai.
